Abdominal Etching

Abdominal etching

Overview

Abdominal etching, also known as high-definition liposuction, is a surgical procedure that enhances the appearance of the abdominal muscles, aiming to create a more defined six-pack or washboard stomach. It involves carefully removing and sculpting fat to highlight the natural contours of the abdominal muscles, particularly the rectus abdominis muscles and the linea alba. The ideal candidate for this procedure are individuals who are relatively fit but have stubborn abdominal fat that they want to reduce, and who already have a degree of underlying muscle tone.

Procedure

The procedure involves precise liposuction to remove fat in specific areas, particularly around the abdominal muscles, while leaving the muscles intact and even creating indentures to simulate the lines of a six-pack.

During the procedure, small incisions are made, and a cannula is used to remove fat and sculpt the abdomen. Markings are often made before the procedure to outline the desired outcome.

Recovery

75% within 2 weeks , but the final results may take up to 6 months.
