Forehead Lift

Forehead Lift

Overview

Eyebrow position plays a vital role in our facial expression. As we age, the outer portion of the eyebrow often descends creating a sad or tired look. A forehead or brow lift, can help lift the brow line to a higher, more natural position and recreate a fresh, youthful look.

Procedure

A brow lift can be accomplished by surgical or non-surgical means. Non-surgical treatment involves selective placement of Botox or filler. Surgery involves incisions in the hairline or above the brow. The brow is then elevated to a higher position.

Anaesthetic

Non-surgical brow lifts do not require any anaesthetic and are performed in the procedure room. Brow lifts are usually done under conscious sedation in the procedure room or in theatre as a day case.

Recovery

Non-surgical: 24 hours

Surgical: 80% recovery in 10-14 days

Risks

Non-surgical: excessive brow elevation. This is easily corrected.

Surgical: mainly bruising and swelling.
